Howdy Y'all,

I am originally from Warsaw, Poland but lived almost half of my life
in Austin. Being from Poland I like jazz and blues and hate polka
(unless played by Chieftains). I like good quality solid state amps,
Telecasters, kayaking and (recent hobby) mountain biking.

I see that you're a Vonnegut fan. Do you think his family will allow his film Between Time and Timbuktu to be released on video? Have you ever seen it -- it's excellent. It was on American TV in the late 70's. I sent him an e-mail about two years ago about releasing it, and his assistant responded with the message that he wont let it be released on video.

I live in California , from Texas....51 years young .Raised my family and now time to enjoy my toys.Have 8 guitars and 6 amps. Some of my stuff is posted on Siegmunds site in the custom area. The snake strat and amp are mine as well as the Tele green can not miss it .I like all kinds of music ..but blues and jass are my fav.I was lucky enough to meet Joe Pass before he passed that is why I picked his pic.I am not that good of a player , but I have the gear to get there and time to work on it.I like this site because it is clean and has great info.Hope to get to know people here.

Interesting - I never heard about that movie - I will keep looking for it.
It was fairly easy to become infected by Vonnegut's cynicism and black
humour when you are born and raised in a communist country.
I discovered Breakfast Of Champions when I was 15 or so and I have to
say it seriously affected my life. Along with Lindsay Anderson's "Oh Lucky
Man!" movie it made the core of my beliefs. Another gem that needs to
be released on DVD.

How old were you when you arrived in the United States? Here's an excellent link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Between_Time_and_Timbuktu
I was sad to hear that he died a few days ago.
