I know we are talking a lot about modes and scales,but I think the right hand and the left hand have to be together.Man the guitar gives you so many options.The muteing and letting the bass note ring over double stops,and on and on.Call and responce in octives,and double stop licks like da da dada da pa pa pada pada ping.I can't wait to get some recording tools,I just can not explain myself in writing.When I play over cd's I listen to the drummer and keep my groove with him or her.When I try to play jazz,I just expand the scales or add notes if you will.Give it more flavor.
