The Purpose...

"Swing Blues: The Doorway to Jazz!" is one of the most popular courses in the program. It provides an "oasis" of sorts for the aspiring jazz guitarist, concentrating less on the mental aspect of the music, and more on the "real world" tunes and practical tools necessary to achieve success.

Every lesson contains two to three related assignments, including a classic swing blues composition arranged for jazz guitar. Lessons also cover rhythm guitar comping techniques, "real-world" jazz licks for improvising over changes, and "model" single-line, octave, and chord solos.
