No, just old, i bought the gibson 6A in '57, i think it was $ 40.00, but it really has the most beautiful jazz tone, albeit lower volume, small club, no reverb and this amp never needed reverb, just ... |

Lots of different amps, guitars etc. so tweaking is essential, however,
basically:
Volume 2 or 3
Base tone 5-7
mid tone 1 or none
treble 2 - 3
Bright switch either way normally off
Reverb ... |
