Hi,
I have been a 'Vision Music' subscriber for about two years now.
The web site is certainly a valuable resource for guitar interests,
but in more importance; the 'musical' insights,
'the feel' for the music, that come across in the presentations;
i.e. 'Bird Magic', is invaluable.
The 'Guitar Talk' series is terrific.
Below are some examples of things I think are approriate to
introduce myself and may be of interest to others in the
'Vision Music Forum.'

Here is a 'chart' I composed for Acoustic Guitar,
titled 'Excursion Comp for Guitar'.
Recently worked though it in my newly updated
'Finale' notation software.

I think it has a lot of room for melodic melodic improvisation;
I wouldn't mind hearing what others might add.
It's scored for 'fingerstyle guitar', but I like it with soft pick
on Acoustic Guitar with a capo at the 2nd fret.

Texas Roadhouse - Short Post Production Sample
Here is 'sample' I created as part of a recent 'Theater Sound Design Project.'
I call it 'Texas Roadhouse.'
I'm offering it in the 'Spirit of the Blues' that is 'in the air' at 'Vision Music.'

(a proper stereo speaker setup is needed for playback or this sample simply won't sound as it should)
This sample was created in 'Pro Tools' on an iMac G5 with my
Martin 'Electro Acoustic DC-15E.'
I 'processed' the rhythm guitar part through a 'Sans Amp'
RTAS plug-in and the 'silverface Fender Super Reverb' preset in the Altiverb RTAS plugin. The 'lead line', I processed through the
the 'Fender Super Reverb' preset as well.
The 'delay line' on the melody line was created by
duplicating the part to another track and manually shifting
sections of the line to taste; my preferred way to create
delay effects in non real-time work.
The drum kit brush shuffle samples are from 'Drum on Demand.'
I put the entire mix into 'Altiverb'

I used the 'Tonic Club Preset' with a little tweaking and wet/dry balance.
'Tonic' is a small, 'downtown' club here in New York City.

Anyway, I call the net result 'Texas Roadhouse.' Worked very well
for the Theater production.
Should probably go to a local bar and sample rowdy patrons to
put under the music texture.

Not directly guitar but...
I'm also interested in 'Electro-Acoustic' music;
the 'process' and 'transformation' of voice sounds,
sound sources from the everyday
world, acoustic instruments into unusual, 'abstract sound textures.'
Sorry if that sounds rather academic.
Here is an example. It a new 'one minute piece' titled;
'Spring Rain - A Free Form Haiku,'
This 'short form' work is for a composition project
where composers are asked to submit a one minute 'signature piece'
This piece was based on my reading of a 'Hakui' poem by the Japanese poet Basho.
Program Notes;
The elements in this sound texture were created from audio
processing of the composer’s own reading of the phrase
“Spring Rain.”
The Haiku reference is metaphorical;
the larger sound form having been created from the processing
of smaller phonetic components of the phrase
- - particles which are assembled into a balanced larger whole.
A simple statement of mood, brief and complete in itself.
