A rather odd occurrence. Philippe Guillaume, creator of "Pianoteq" virtual piano software:
http://www.pianoteq.com/free_addons
apparently discovered a Pianoteq performance file link included in a thread I posted here at Vision Music:
http://www.visionmusic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=41&sid=cb6bcfb26f25e659768caa32a3fea506
(scroll down the list to the post number 8 )
file link,
Scarlatti_Sonata_K3_L378 on a 'Walter Pianoforte':

He is interested to publish the audio file at the Pianoteq web site.

dear Kb,
I am Philippe Guillaume, creator of Pianoteq with Julien Pommier.
I recently discovered your post on the forum
http://www.visionmusic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=41&sid=cb6bcfb26f25e659768caa32a3fea506
where you provide a link to a recording
http://specialneedsinmusic.com/audio/piano/pianoteq/pianoteq_scarlatti/pnoteq_walter_Scarlatti_Sonata_K3_L378_fin_mix4_alti_revised.mp3
which sounds absolutely beautiful!
I would be grateful knowing a bit more about this recording:
- who recorded the midi file?
- was the audio file recorded with the Pianoteq Walter add-on?
- if yes, what additional effect was used (reverb, compression)?
- if yes, would it be possible to have the midi file for private (testing) use, and to publish the audio file on our listen page.
That would be so nice!
Kindest regards,
Philippe

Ha, cool! It's nice to be "discovered," and even better to be appreciated.
Congrat's on a positive event! |

M,
Thank you for the nice reply.
I have collaborated with my pianist colleague, Kaila, for about 12 years or so
on many project types.
Coming from a 'pre-internet' generation, yet with a lot of
technology experience in my background, I'm amazed how the net changed
the dynamic for interacting with people on a global scale. Certainly, the
'learning/music education' experience here at Vision Music is a wonderful example
of that. I wish this sort of 'communication/information access' technology were available
in my earlier days as a music student.
