It just occured to me that over years we get and dispose of a great number of musical tools. So, what is the cost of being a boss? Today I rather unsurprisingly have found certain disbalance. While over roughly 15 years, I spent ca $12,500 for my guitars and amps, somehow about $3750 got lost on the way (all that selling and reselling and purchasing the same thing again, etc.). I am sure that many a forum member also discovered this "black hole". So, impress me! _________________ Jiri |

Well, since you're speaking in financial terms, I'm more of a buy-and-hold investor when it comes to gear. I tend to buy the best I can afford at the time and keep it. The only exceptions were the plywood crates I learned on as a kid and a Fostex recorder I stopped using when I switched to PC based recording. |

I am in the same boat as Larry.A friend of mine is a buy and sale kind of guy,and I guess I learned from him.I could not even venture a guess on how much money he has lost.Frequent moving on his part ,is another big loss.Flavor of the month ,never worked for me. _________________ What don't kill you makes you stronger |
