|
|
"Inside Out" is one of at least a hundred blues originals I've composed over the years. It's dedicated to jazz guitarist Jimmy Bruno, in gratitude for his generous support when I was just getting Vision Music off the ground back in the late 90s.
Jimmy is a brilliant player, a great guy, and also a close friend of two of my colleagues, Henry Johnson and Wolf Marshall. All three are members of our "Teacher Feature" guest faculty. Although this spirited bebop blues is available at our "Special Spotlight" page along with many others, I recently recorded the tribute along with an extended 8-chorus jazz guitar solo. To hear it, click here.
And finally, I just released a brand new score for "Inside Out" in PDF format, just for VM Forum members. To view and to download the music in standard notation and tab, click here. Enjoy!

Another super song, who would expect anything less "Coach" - in appreciation and gratitude!

Wow, I just heard JB live for the first time last night at the Smithsonian Jazz Cafe here in DC. They were recording a DVD so heads up Bruno fans.

What a wonderful tribute to Jimmy! The best thing about it is how it truly captures Jimmy's swinging spirit! Terrific performance, Mark! |
