Hi. I heard you guys talking music so I just had to come over.
I starting playing a cornet about 50 years ago and found that I liked it. Then I got a old Kay guitar (about the time the Beatles hit our shores) and I've been hooked ever since. I grew up playing radio music (rock, blues, folk, whatever) and I think it's all good. I learned classical guitar technique a few years ago and had a lot of fun with it. Now I'm learning jazz and loving it. I've been doing a lot of this stuff forever and didn't know it was called jazz.
I can hardly wait to see what comes up next. _________________ Forget the pick! Fingers forever!!! |

It just keeps getting better, doesn't it? I remember those Kay guitars! It was a toss up for my first one. I went with Harmony because it was $30.00 vs. $35.00 for the Kay, or something like that. Sure was a long time ago. |

Welcome!
What's the 'Michigan Hinterlands'? I was born in Michigan and I don't know what that is? _________________

The hinterlands? That's just about anywhere that Detroit, Lancing, Kalamazoo, Battle Creek and Grand Rapids isn't. In my case, it is found near the intersection of US 10 and US 131, which the locals proudly call the Crossroads of Michigan.
It is not so remote as the UP, I grant you. But then, the UP is like a whole other country. _________________ Forget the pick! Fingers forever!!! |
