Hey Guys,
As many of my students and customers are aware, some time ago I began
expanding as well as enhancing my existing LBM program and language-based
learning products with a private, customized lesson supplement. Skype
(www.skype.com) is a FREE application and the perfect tool for conducting
face-to-face, long distance instruction. All you need is a computer/mobile
device with a built-in camera or an inexpensive webcam and you're good to
go.
While I'm certainly proud of my existing material and methodology as
invaluable assets for aspiring players, the Skype sessions unleash my
potential as a trouble-shooting coach, something that I've perfected for decades
in my private teaching practice. As the lesson program developed over many years,
along with a stable of superior educational products, the only thing I missed
was the kind of creative interactivity that was such a trademark of my past
work. Now it's back on the table, thanks to Skype. I see this new option as
a win-win for all concerned.
What kind of topics can be covered in Skype? Everything you can possibly
imagine. Want to discuss improvising approaches over specific standards,
expanding your basic blues power, chord-melody solo guitar arranging and
performance, or bass work spanning bebop, blues and funk? How about
jazz/blues guitar comping, or upper-string chord solos, playing octaves,
double-stops and repetitions? Or perhaps you're performing with a band or
playing solo and want meaningful input pertinent to a given song, an upcoming
gig or recording session? Truthfully, I can't think of anything that can't be
effectively covered in depth using Skype, and if you're inclined the best
thing to do is to simply try a couple of sessions to gauge the potential for
yourself. As the saying goes, everything to gain and nothing to lose. Skype
is the next best thing to being there. Are you ready?
Note:
An extensive lesson topic list in pdf format is available upon request. Regarding
the cost per session, currently I'm offering a generous discount (33% off) based on
my private lesson practice. The only drawback is the amount of time that I have
available, so if you wish to get on board contact me to hold a spot. You won't
regret it!
