What a fantastic site! I've always loved listening to jazz, and with a sax-playing brother, always been exposed to it, but until recently, I had little interest in playing it. So, I bought a copy of the Real Book, but felt kind of overwhelmed with the quantity of "standards" I thought I needed to know. Lots of CDs to buy! This place has just what I need to get these songs up to a certain level of familiarity so I could show up at a jam session and be able to dive in with Giant Steps or Ornithology or other Real Book standards and not be COMPLETELY lost!
